Privacy policy
This policy describes the current static version of Bond Atlas. It will need to be updated if accounts, forms, analytics, advertising or other data-collecting services are enabled.
Information you provide
The current website has no account registration, comment system, payment form or contact form. Bond Atlas does not ask for Social Security numbers, TreasuryDirect credentials, brokerage credentials or payment-card information. Do not send sensitive financial credentials through any website claiming to represent this project.
Hosting and server logs
Like most websites, the hosting provider may automatically process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include IP address, request time, requested page, browser information, referring page and security events. The provider's configuration determines retention and operational handling.
Cookies and local storage
The current Bond Atlas code does not set analytics, advertising or personalization cookies and does not use browser local storage for tracking. If you select a color theme, that preference is stored locally on your device under the name “bond-atlas-theme” so the site can remember your choice. It contains only “light” or “dark,” is not transmitted as a reader profile and can be removed by clearing site data. Search and calculators run in your browser without saving their inputs.
Analytics and advertising
No analytics or advertising tags are included in the current version. If services such as Google Analytics or Google Ads are added later, this policy, consent mechanisms and any required disclosures must be updated before those services collect data. Their providers may process information under their own policies and settings.
External websites
Articles link to TreasuryDirect, IRS, SEC, Investor.gov, FINRA and other external resources. When you follow an external link, the destination's privacy policy and technical practices apply. Bond Atlas does not operate those services or receive your TreasuryDirect or brokerage login information.
Financial information
Bond Atlas publishes general educational content and does not request information about your holdings, income, tax return or financial accounts. Any examples you calculate independently using public articles should be kept free of sensitive personal identifiers.
Children
The website provides general financial education and is not designed to collect information from children. No user profiles or child-directed interactive services are offered.
Data security
Reasonable technical practices are important for any deployment, including HTTPS, updated hosting software and restricted administrative access. No internet transmission or hosting environment can be represented as absolutely secure.
Policy changes
The effective date will be revised when data practices change. New forms, analytics, advertising, newsletters or embedded third-party media require a fresh review of what is collected and which disclosures or consent tools are necessary.
